art-for-lifeart-for lifeis a non-for-profit concept developed by Gabrielle von Bernstorff-Nahat in 2012.
art-for-life engages in specific projects with art in order to aid human beings existentially who are facing changes in their life at its core. Then, in 2012, an informal crowd-funding took place in order to support alternative cancer care for the female artist and singer Isabella Baumeler. The project was very successful and enabled Isablella years of creative quality life with therapies, travels and studies. Thank you again to all those who lovingly supported beautiful Isabella and her love for life. She continues to inspire us.
Today, 2019, art-for-life is back with another non-for-profit project.
for human beings, especially for artists, who have experienced or are experiencing psychological upheavals in their life.
The concept is simple: Doing art places the creative process in the foreground above and beyond therapeutic work. Human beings feel best themselves what they need in order to be better. art-for-life-winti is to enable this freedom.
The project: A house with large individual ateliers for individuals,- where the artists or artists to be may work, painting, writing, film, music, sculpture. We envision 8 - 12 large individual ateliers. Including everything needed from libraries to instruments and equipment.
Practicals: We do not offer medical or therapeutic assistance. This is left to the individual and is private and personal. The art-for-life-winti house is a place for doing, making and living art.
Location: we are looking to open such a house in Winterthur, Switzerland. As a second place we are looking at Southern France as a vacation pendent.
Should you be interested in supporting this beautiful project, please get in touch with us. We are in the beginning shoes.
A house is being looked for in Winterthur and in Southern France.
As an inspiration, we suggest the Film by Lascaux Film Production: Words and Pictures with Juliette Binoche and Clive Owen and students. A wonderful inspirational film on how art can inspire and overcome also illness, in the film, of a different kind, - yet comparable. Merci to Lascaux Films and their team for this inspiration.
